- Just some friendly advice to folks on the net right now. I've \
- ordered or attmepted to order some ued CBM equipment
- on the Internet from this groupo recently. (Used equipment
- sold by others.) Remember that unless you know the perosn it is not
- safe to send cash or check as prepayment. It is better to order
- COD so recently when attempting to do that I ran into someone on
- here that is insistent on having the cash up front..I though tthis was
- odd especailly since the person has gone off the deep end with my
- request (insistent) for sending it COD. This persons email responses
- are getting worse and worse and I have begun to think that I am dealing
- with a younger person looking to make a quick buck from a sucker. So
- I'm not going to mention any names but thought I'd tell everyone to take
- care when buying any type of C64 type disk drive for a while or other
- hardware for that matter. Just a generalization since I don't want to
- point the finger at anyone in particluar. I've heard so many
- ripoff stories on other groups that I thought it might be wise to tell folks
- some one may be attempting stuf f that is bad on here as well.
- Take care!
